Quick Tip: Keep a table cloth in place

Need an easy and cute way to keep a table cloth from sliding around? Tie it with a bow!

With a young child in the house, I’ve resorted to using vinyl table cloths to help make cleanup easier. It’s a pain the way they slide around, though. I had intended to make another fitted table cloth for my dining table, but I haven’t found the time to get out the sewing machine and wrangle elastic. Instead, I tied a pretty ribbon around my round table, cinching the tablecloth into place. The end result is a really cute ruffled effect, and it works like a charm!

Note: My table has trim a few inches from the edge underneath the table top, which I pulled the ribbon against. Your results may vary depending on the type of table you have.

I’m still not a fan of the vinyl table cloth look, which I thought I’d never do, but this makes it look a lot better.
