I was honored when my friend Amy, creator of Frugal-Mama.com, asked me to guest post on her site while she and her family move out of state. Today you can find me doling out frugal home decorating advice on her blog.

I met Amy this past fall after she moved to the Syracuse area and contacted various local bloggers about establishing a group. The timing was perfect because I was kind of in a rut personally and professionally and had all but fallen off the frugal wagon. I had no idea that there were other bloggers like myself in this area, or that I would enjoy their company so much. CNY Blogger Mamas was established, and we have met up several times over the past few months. I feel very fortunate to have met such a diverse group of women with different backgrounds, ideas and lifestyles who share a common bond.

I really appreciate Amy taking the initiative to start our local group, and she will be sorely missed. I hope you will explore her site and add Frugal Mama to the blogs you follow. Amy has a reasoned and refreshing approach to both frugality and parenting that I really enjoy.
